On Becoming Babywise and Babywise
II, written by Gary Ezzo The main idea of this book is to have some sort
of schedule with your baby's eating, awake and nap times. This will regulate
his digestion and give him a sense of stability. The order of each "time" is
important. Eat time, then playtime, then nap time. This order is also mentioned
in a book called "The Baby Whisperer"....they call it E.A.S.Y. "E" for Eat,
"A" for Activity, "S" for Sleep and "Y" for You. When following this order
among other common sense strategies, your baby sleeps through the night at 6
weeks and is happier and less fussy than other babies.
We have used the
Babywise Philosophy with both of our sons since the day they came home and they
have slept through the night since week 6. We think Babywise is a smart way of
parenting and the next two books have great advice as well...BABYWISE II and
TODDLERWISE.
I have a few friends who have done Babywise and they have
had so much luck with it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to
email me tammy@tammybrice.com .
Babywise has worked for us but that doesn't mean it will work for you. What you
are doing right now might already work for you. I'm just glad a friend gave me
the book and told me about it. |
