Things for Baby
Boppy Pillow - Not only
great for easier breastfeeding, but it can be used to prop babies head up on
the floor, to put babies over to aid in tummy time, or to act as a back support
once baby can sit up.
Swing - At least two speeds and open top
for easy access is best.
Kick & Play/Vibrating Seat -
Perfect toy from birth to whenever they start sitting up for hanging out in,
watching videos, or vibrating to nappy time. Great to take outside, in the
kitchen, or have them in while you're eating dinner.
Pack & Play
- Great to have for multi-level homes for diaper changing, quick naps, and
play-pen time. Also perfect to take for traveling as it doubles as away-crib
for babies to sleep in at the Grandparents. Make sure that it comes with a
changing table addition...it's great.
Activity Links Gym - Great
toy to have at any stage. Put it on the floor while baby lies in the boppy
underneath it for them to look at. Once baby can sit up, put it in front of
them to play with. Easy to take apart and pack in the car for traveling.
Johnny Jumper - Favorite toy to hang out in. Makes them feel
independent as they can control how much they want to jump up and down. Great
because it goes with you to every room in the house. Perfect for when you're
taking a shower, making dinner, or working on the computer.
Exersaucer - This toy is incredible because they will spend
hours and hours a day in it. So many things to keep them occupied. Raises 4
levels with height & growth and perfect to put in the trunk for traveling
to the Grandparents. You can clean, cook, or work while they're having fun
playing.
Baby Bjorn - Perfect for traveling, walking, and hiking
as it's comfortable for both of you & gives you your hands free. Also use
it around the house with baby for cleaning, making dinner, or yardwork.
Baby Mozart DVD - Baby will be engrossed for hours watching
these very educational and developmental videos while you can get some work
done. Collect them all (Einstein, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Van Gogh,
Shakespeare, etc)
Walt Disney DVDs - Start collecting these as
toddlers LOVE to watch them. Not only the most recent ones like "Beauty &
The Beast and "The Lion King" but show them the old classics too like "Dumbo",
"Fox and The Hound" and "Snow White". Great gift for Grandparents to give.
Classical Music CDs - It's been proven that listening to
classical music can enhance a babies mind. Listen to them while you're nursing,
changing diapers, or playing. Not only will it help the baby, but it helps
relax mommy as well. Make up words to songs and sing to them as well.
BOOKS, BOOKS, & MORE BOOKS - I don't have to tell you how
extremely important reading is to your children. Even though they might not be
able to understand you or they might even fall asleep, but they start to
comprehend the rhythm & sound. Make it a habit to read to them every day.
